Eugenia Man Photography | Wedding Photographer | Featured on Snippet & Ink!

24 Jan

Well, I was second shooter, so I didn’t get the credit, but I definitely see my shots in the post!

I absolutely LOVED shooting Margo & Mike’s wedding! They were such a cute couple! Definitely feature worthy.
I love hearing about the back story – I never hear the little details behind the wedding planning. It was fun reading about everything they had to say about it!
Plus, I’m super proud to be working alongside Jon Rivera for another wedding later this year!

Eugenia Man Photography | Chinese Wedding Banquet Photographer | Delanie & Joe!

13 Jan

Hello hello!
I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now (their banquet was 2 months and 1 week ago!), but with the Christmas season finally at an end, I can take some time to catch up with old blog posts I’ve been itching to publish. We’ll start here with Delanie and Joe.

These two were married in Hawaii a couple months before the banquet took place. They wanted to hold a big party for those who couldn’t make it all the way out to the wedding ceremony. The whole restaurant was PACKED with friends and family! I loved being in a room packed with happiness, excitement, and love!

If you haven’t been to a Chinese Wedding Banquet before, you need to somehow find a way to experience it! There are usually 10 courses that come to your table throughout the night, so make sure you sample all the plates and save extra space on your plate for the dishes you really love. Be prepared to hit your glassware with a fork or chopsticks, because it’s a Chinese tradition to make a lot of noise to get the bride and groom to kiss. The toasts are pretty amazing as well – I’ve caught myself tearing up at some parts!

My favorite part of the night is when the bride and groom make their rounds toasting everyone, thanking them for joining them on their special day.

I absolutely love following the couple and their families around toasting. You really get to see the relationships between everyone at this point. I love seeing everyone hug, hear what they have to say to each other, and get to know little stories of families. The father of the bride kept nudging me towards certain important people he really wanted the bride to have a photo with – a bishop, her godfathers, and her grandmother. I love taking these photos because I know they’ll be cherished forever.

Thank you, Delanie and Joe for inviting me to your big party and document it for you family, including future generations, eh?
Cheers to the newlyweds and to the new year!
With love,
–Eugenia
